How to install Pan Player on LG, Samsung and Roku TVs

Step-by-step guide to installing Pan Player on LG (webOS), Samsung (Tizen) and Roku, then signing in with just your username and password instead of a server URL.

Installing Pan Player on a smart TV takes a few minutes and no workarounds: the app is in each brand’s official store. This guide covers LG (webOS) TVs, Samsung (Tizen) TVs and Roku devices, and then shows you how to sign in without typing a long server address with your remote.

One thing before we start: Pan Player is a player. It doesn’t sell, provide or store channels, movies, series or lists; all content comes from your list. You use your own Xtream Codes list, one that belongs to you or that you’re authorized to use.

Before you install

Two quick checks prevent most problems:

  • Your TV needs to be online. Check the TV’s network settings to make sure the Wi-Fi or cable connection is working.
  • Update your TV’s software. App stores often only show apps that are compatible with the installed version. If your TV is out of date, look for the software update option in its settings and install anything pending.

It also helps to have your account ready. If you don’t have one yet, create your account on the panel. There you add your Xtream Codes list (server address, username and password), and on the TV you just sign in with your username and password. The full walkthrough is in how to set up your Xtream Codes list.

LG TVs (webOS)

On LG TVs, the app is in the LG Content Store.

  1. Press the Home button on your remote.
  2. Open the LG Content Store.
  3. Use search and type Pan Player.
  4. Select the app in the results and choose to install it.
  5. When installation finishes, open Pan Player.

Once installed, the app shows up with your TV’s other apps, so you can open it from there next time.

Samsung TVs (Tizen)

On Samsung TVs, the app is in the Samsung Apps store.

  1. Press the Home button on your remote.
  2. Open the apps area (Samsung Apps).
  3. Use search and type Pan Player.
  4. Select the app and choose to install it.
  5. When it’s done, open Pan Player.

If search doesn’t find the app, make sure the TV software is up to date and the TV is online, then try again.

Roku

On Roku, apps live in the Roku Channel Store, where they’re called channels.

  1. Press the Home button on your Roku remote.
  2. Open the Roku Channel Store.
  3. Use search and type Pan Player.
  4. Select the app and choose to add it.
  5. When it appears on your Roku home screen, open Pan Player.

Signing in to your account

With the app open, you’ll see the sign-in screen. Instead of typing the server address with your remote, you only fill in two fields:

  1. In the Username field, type your username.
  2. In the password field, type your password.
  3. Confirm. Your list loads automatically, with no server address to type on the remote.

If you use Pan Player on more than one device, just sign in with the same username and password on each one.

Don’t have an account yet?

The TV sign-in screen has a Create account button. It shows a QR code: point your phone’s camera at it and sign up from your phone, which is far more comfortable than typing on the TV. No credit card is needed to sign up.

If something doesn’t work

  • The app doesn’t show up in search: check your internet connection and update your TV’s software.
  • Sign-in fails: check your username and password (upper and lower case matter) and that your list’s address (DNS) is registered correctly on the panel.
  • Content doesn’t load: check with your provider that your list is active. Pan Player only plays what your list delivers.

For other questions, see the FAQ. If you use other devices too, the devices page shows where Pan Player is available.

After installing

Once everything is running, take a minute in settings: choose which screen the app opens on, change the default parental control password and create profiles for everyone at home. The features page sums up what you can adjust.

If you haven’t subscribed yet, the 7-day free trial includes every feature. Create your account, install the app on your TV and try it with your own list.

Player only. We don’t sell, provide, host or store channels, movies or lists: everything comes from your own IPTV list, which must be yours or authorized for your use.

Your list, properly organized. Try it for 7 days.

Create your account in a minute, add your list and sign in on the TV with your username and password. No card to get started.
